Trade outlets of the Central District of the Northern Capital will be checked, within the framework of a specific schedule, for compliance with the law with regard to prohibition of sales of beer to persons younger than 18.

Last Friday the “Pivnoy Cult” (Beer Cult) Exhibition was opened. Surrounded by historical exhibits of beer culture, people would drink their favorite beer “Don”. Participants were people who collect beer attributes and emblems, lovers of photography, active leisure and, first of all, real lovers of beer. The exhibition will last until August 15. A “Kvass Chats” started in Yekaterinburg. The events were held in two children’s city summer camps in Schools No.165 and No. 64. The young residents of the Urals got to know the national customs and traditions, made toys of hay and enjoyed kvass, a traditional Russian drink. The “Kvass Chats” project targeted at preservation of the intergenerational continuity and revival of the national traditions was sponsored by “Khlebny Krai” kvass.

That is why, to limit the access to beer for persons under age, brewers actively involve performers, musicians, leaders of youth movements in raids of public control. All of them are threaded with the slogan “Are you 18? Prove it!”. “Baltic” brewers have been arranging raids of so called “Beer Patrol” (Pivnoy Dozor) for several years now. It is a movement which controls the abidingness of the law on limiting of sales of beer to persons under age.

On July 16 in Saransk a “Certificate of Trust” was handed by the Federal Inspectorate of Labor in the Republic of Mordovia to the Saransk Affiliate of OJSC (ÎÀÎ) “SUN InBev”. The certificate was handed at the ceremony, at the general meeting of the labor collective which is one of the largest tax payers of the republic.
