Roskaznacheistvo published results of excise collections of beer and alcohol production based on the results of the first six months of 2010. Despite the complicated economic situation and production decline, Russian brewers replenished the federal budget by RUR 35.75 billion.

On July 15, on the site of RIA Novosti information agency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation represented a new information program of prevention of violation in the area of trade with relation to persons under age. The Union of Russian Brewers acted as partner of the program and supported initiatives aimed against sales of beer to persons who have not yet reached the age of 18.

Based on the information on the first nine months of 2008 in Russia 908 million deciliters were produced. Production growth accounted for 1 percent. It is official data provided by the Federal Service of State Statistics. Over the respective period of 2007 dynamics of production was at the level of 18 percent. Such a reduction of rates of growth of the market was of the most considerable as of the beginning of the nineties.

The Union of Russian Brewers in cooperation with the Department of Alimentary, Processing Industries and Product Quality under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation issued an analytical review “Russian beer market based on the results of 2007”. The review contains the most detailed information on key parameters of the brewing industry (in the regions and in the country in general), information on alcohol consumption culture, tax policy, raw materials production and packaged beer market structure.
